Emerald Eyes
80x 80cm. Oil on linen
Let me tell you about the inspiration forEmerald eyes.
Oh how those eyes got me.
Those emerald eyes belong to Jaziri (meaning courageous)
One morning a story broke on the jeep radio between the masai guides. Nalangu the leopard had been spotted in a favourite spot near the river. When we arrived on the scene a few jeeps were already there. Everyone had binoculars and were standing up out of the roof of their jeeps scanning the scene.
Was Nalangu in a tree with a kill? Our guide Stanely was not so sure. So we headed of in a completely different direction. Once we were on our own we stopped scanning the treetops and looked low into the bushes.
We found Jaziri, Nalangu's son. About 9 months old. He will only have a couple more months left with his Mum before he will fend for himself.
He was stunning. I simply had to paint him!
This painting comes unframed with D rings and hanging cord are attached ready to hang.
