This beautiful giraffe, Nina, has been created using only the finest quality oil paint on canvas.
I adore using lots of colour, and this giraffe has some cool blues sitting alongside some beautiful browns and ochres highlighted with a cool white. She's a really striking piece.
Whilst on safari I noticed that some giraffes have tufty horns and some have no hair on their horns. So I asked our guide and Stanley and he explained. The tufty ones are female. The male giraffes fight and their fights can result in the hair on their horns being worn away. Whereas Nina here, has not been fighting like her brothers and so has tufty horns.
This painting comes unframed with d rings and hanging cord attached ready to hang.
