Is this what summer feels like? Busy busy busy and hot hot hot (oh with some rain every now and then too!)
Check out some of my highlights for this month below. and some news about what's just around the corner

This Summer saw two new fairs in my calendar, and I would be delighted to do both again next year! I was at the New Forest show this year. I've been to the NFS every year for as long as I can remember, but this was my first time as an exhibitor. Any visitor to the show will know of the traffic jams around Lyndhurst, so it makes for a long day. I was on the show ground at 7am each morning and usually didn't leave until 8pm. However, its such great show, there's so much to see and do, that you can really understand why some visitor come fro all three days! I was selling a mixture of originals and prints and cards and had a great time.
Only a week or so later was BBC country file live . I was demonstrating throughout the show and is was absolutely fantastic! Painting is such an amazing activity to watch, many visitors came back to see me a couple of times each day to see the progress of a particular painting. I even sold some pieces while they were still wet!

Opposite my stand at  BBC Countryfile was the most beautiful milliners stand. Every morning I tried on a different hat before setting up my next painting demo!

My animals on linen were the real hit of the show, look out for more additions to my countryside companions collection. The images below are just some of the pieces that have found new homes this Summer

Do you want to learn how to do it?
Earlier in the week I had a lovely time at Salisbury Cathedral with a group of artists, setting them the challenge of drawing and painting complex subject matter. It was a super day. I have more workshops coming up in the Autumn, and more dates will be added to my website in the next couple of weeks. You can book for yourself, as a gift for a friend or even arrange tailor made courses for a group of friends. Pop me and email and we'll make something great!

This weekend sees the end of my exhibition at Boston teat party. It's been a great success with two full size paintings of Salisbury Cathedral being sold. I love exhibiting in a variety of places as it means people who have never bought art before can see my work and enjoy it.

Affordable ways of getting some gorgeous art
I have added to my limited edition print collection with some small printed canvas and cute printed cushions.  They have been really popular this Sumer and I only have a few more left! They are great for gifts and won't usually be at my exhibitions and art fairs but they will be available at my next event...

What's next?

The next fair is Salisbury Craft and Heritage Fair 9-11 September in the picturesque surroundings of the Cathedral close. I will be demonstrating in the Plain Arts marquee throughout the weekend. I've even started a painting of the Cathedral on my signature linen background. come along and watch how it progresses through the weekend...along with a few other pieces too.
